West Rim Hike

A couple weeks ago Tyler took his Young Men on the West Rim Hike in Zions and Dylan tagged along with him. You were supposed to be 14 years old to go but I guess thats the perks of being the YM president's son! They had a great time and got plenty dirty and sweaty. It took all day and was almost 20 miles long. Dylan was a good sport but Tyler found out soon enough how afraid of heights Dylan is:)

Busy Boy

Dylans traveling soccer team Juventus played in the summer games this year and took Bronze. They worked really hard and made tons of progress in the 4 short days they played. They ended up winning a team for bronze who had killed them the day before and the team who took gold they were able to shut out. The championship game was played in a total down pour but they kept on fighting and won 1 to 2. It was so exciting and we can't wait till next year!

On the last day of school at the awards ceremony Dylan received an award from the Sons Of Utah Pioneers for his Ancestor report from the beginning of the year. It was an Honorable Mention from their essay writing contest. He was way excited, he's such a smart kid he truly deserves it.

I still need to scan the professional baseball pics they got taken, but this will have to do for now. Dylan played on the Lions this year in baseball and loved it. He really had a great time and loves baseball, the team kinda struggled taking 6th for the season but I think it was a growing year for the team and they will do awesome next year! I think its so funny how he is always #11 without ever asking to be in every sport he plays, must be his lucky number:)
