Made My Day!

On Friday night I went to the CV vs. Cedar football game with my friend. Dylan was already inside with his friends so I was waiting in the line by myself. As I got up to the ticket window I handed the lady 5 bucks and put my hand in to be stamped . She said something to me which I didn't hear and handed me 2 dollars back. I said isn't it 5 dollars to get in and she said well don't you have your card? Me: what card. YOUR STUDENT ID. I laughed and said I'm not a student but you just made my day, maybe even my whole weekend. I know I look young people tell me all the time and ask if my kids are my own when they see me places but I didn't think I looked that young. The funny thing is as I was standing in the line with all the high schoolers I was thinking how much it has changed since I graduated and how different they dress and look. On a different note the talk in Sacrament went well. My kids did an awesome job and I made it out alive without throwing up, which I wanted to do. So thanks for all the great advice and thoughts!!

Are You Kidding Me?

This is for all those who are in my ward so you can laugh and be relieved its not you! And for all those who aren't who read my blog (if there's anybody that still reads) You can send me ideas and wonderful quotes. We (as a family) have the PRIVILEGE to speak in sacrament on Sunday. We got a call last Sunday night while we were watching the Dodgers get killed from our bishop asking us to speak, I obviously said yes because I couldn't think of a good excuse fast enough. We have what I think is the hardest subject to talk about "The Atoning Blood Of Christ" Not that I don't think the Atonement is a wonderful thing but I think it is just so in depth and way complex, especially for my 10 and 7 year olds to talk about! I am at a stand still and don't know quite where to go with this and which avenue to take. I really thought after living in the same ward for 8 years and not having to speak as a family yet we would be safe, so it just came as a huge surprise especially since I have to talk before Christmas with the Primary Presidency, and the fact that Tyler has already had to talk this year with the Bishopric. I guess I was mistaken, so if any of you have a wonderful idea for me or just sympathy let me know I will be home all week sick to my stomach worrying about this WONDERFUL LEARNING EXPERIENCE!

Jade's Too Big

On Sunday we went up to Fillmore to celebrate my Grandma's birthday with all my family. My niece Jade was there and the poor thing got mauled by my kids! I can't believe how big she's gotten. I wish she lived closer so we could see her more, then maybe she wouldn't grow so fast!
