My Dad's Birthday/ First Day Of School

Today is the first day of school for my kids.
Dylan is in 5th grade and Karsten is in 2nd.
I can't believe how fast they are growing up!I
It makes me so sad:(

My sister took this pic of the grandkids for my dads birthday, I thought it turned out pretty cute! I think it's funny how Jade and Dylan match & Jax and Karsten match, we really didn't plan it!

Today is also my Dad's birthday! We celebrated last night, my brother made dinner for everyone and we had cake and ice cream. He is 54 years old, he still looks pretty young though! It was kinda hard without my mom there it's his first birthday without her. Happy Birthday to my Dad I hope you have a great day!

Every year we go camping with Tyler's side of the family, this year we went up to Red Creek. It was so beautiful up there and it's right next to a lake, so we got plenty of fishing in. My kids had so much fun riding fourwheelers non stop with all their cousins, and we ate tons of good food. On our second day there we went on a hike with everybody, up the creek to where the trout preserve is, I wish I would have taken my camera it was so pretty. We hiked up the creek as far as we could go then we turned around to go back down and decided there might be a trail up above us, so we hiked up the hill and there was no trail. On our way back down the steep hill everybody was sliding and falling it was pretty comical. Karsten slid down on his bum and right before he went off a little ledge with a ten foot drop he flipped over to his belly and was hanging on to the ledge with both hands he looked like a cliff hanger. Tyler was down below with Jaxon and couldn't do anything and I was too far behind so my nephew Shad grabbed Karsten and pulled him back up it, was kinda scary but Karsten was really brave. After the hike we were riding our fourwheelers back to our campsite through this muddy meadow with streams running through it. I was driving Dylans little 125 with him on the back and we got stuck in the mud. As I was trying to get us out I flipped mud all over both me and Dylan. I was trying to get Tyler to come pull us out with his fourwheeler but he was laughing too hard. So Shad came to the rescue again and pushed us out, he's such a good boy. It was either that or I was going to make Dylan do it, because I wasn't about to get off and do it myself. It really fun to get away and relax for a few days, but I'm so happy when we get home and I get to sleep in my own bed again :)

8th Anniversary

Eight years ago today me and Tyler were married. It's sooo crazy to think we've been married that long! We got married exactly one month before 9/11. We were so young I never could really picture us on our eighth anniversary, where we would be in life and what we would be doing. When in all reality we've been together for 12, we dated 4 years before getting married. I'm getting old I know. Tonight we can't go on A DATE because of fire drill night and Dylan's soccer game, so we went out last night. It was fun, we went to Milts (sooo good) and went to the movie GI Joe, romantic I know, there was nothing else to see though. It was actually pretty good. The good part about being married this long is we still love each other and the time has flown by. Three kids, 8 years, and lots of ups and downs later we are still happily married. So hopefully in 2 years for our tenth anniversary I will get taken on some exotic trip, wells here's to wishing & hoping.(hint hint) Happy Anniversary Ty I Love You!
