Dylans A Deacon

The day we got home from our cruise Dylan got Ordained into the Aaronic priesthood (we had such bad jetlag, we were up 22 hours traveling the day before). He was so excited to finally be out of Primary and in with the YM. I totally spaced getting a pic in our church clothes so this is as good as it gets.

All Dressed Up For Dinner & A Show

If you've never been on a cruise let me just say the dinners are amazing. You get a four course meal every night and it is sooo good! The buffets during the day are pretty fabulous too. After dinner every night they always have a show and they are always pretty amazing. The bigger the ship the better the shows. Its so fun especially the formal nights, Tyler doesnt love them because it means picture taking...but who asked him anyways. I promise this is the last post about the cruise:) Needless to say we had a great time and a much needed break and SUNSHINE!

Barbados

Bathsheba

In front of our jeep

on the tram

In front of a waterfall in the cave (that you cant see)

In Harrisons Caves

Barbados was the last island we stopped at. We went to place called Harrisons Caves. It was kinda like Lemans caves but a lot bigger and more high tech. They had huge stalamites and stalatites. We drove down into the cave in a battery powered tram. It was pretty cool. After that we went fourwheeling in our jeep in the jungle with our tour guide Deon. He was hysterical, He would call everybody lady, it was pretty funny. My fav saying " there aint no snakes here lady" haha. Then we went to a beach named Bathsheba and it was beautiful. We drove around the island forever ending in the ritzy part where the rich people vacation and saw a 40 million dollar house. I loved Barbados, the people were so nice and not pushy at all.

St. Kitts

The golf course

The lava rocks on the shore from the volcano on the island that erupted.

The gardens at Romney Manor

This was the highlight of the day. We went to these gardens at Romney Manor where theres a house in the middle and they make things like shirts and towels and etc. by dipping them in wax. Every time you add another color you have to dip it in the wax in the design you want it. I should've taken pictures it was really cool. I think it was called Batik.

We walked off the ship and people started putting monkeys all over us and telling us to take pictures, then demanding $10...they are cute though.

Sorry these posts are out of order. St. Kitts was the 3rd island we stopped at and was definitely not my favorite. The second we stepped off the ship we were bombarded by people trying to get us to buy something or go on a tour with them. We ended up taking a tour of the island, and the tour guide wasn't very good, he ended up trying to charge us more in the end. He was very dishonest. They were also burning the sugarcane on the island so there was ash and smoke everywhere. Not our best experience:(

Dominica

The pineapple plants. I thought they grew on a tree...obviously not.

The river we were tubing down

In front of The Emerald Pools Falls

Dominica was the 4th island we went to. It was beautiful, covered mostly by the rain forest. It rained almost the entire day we were there. At this island we went to the Emerald pools Falls which is a big waterfall into a pool in the middle of the rain forest. After that our tour guide Kendra took us to go tubing down the river. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a waterproof camera.
The tubing was probably the funnest thing we've ever done on a cruise before. They give you a tube, a helmet, and a life jacket and send you down the river. It was awesome I almost fell off a few times in the rapids but held on for my life. We were tubing for almost 45 minutes it was great! I Loved this island.

St. Maarten

Taking a break during our shopping spree

This car was hysterical...it says Rudy does not support his child. I think someone has a really mad ex!!

Tyler getting eaten @ Pirana Joes (I got the cutest Christmas decorations here)

The next island we stopped at was St. Maarten. We have already been to this island so we chose to get a lot of our shopping done there. Which is great because they have awesome shopping anyways. I kinda wish we would've gone parasailing or rented a jetski, but oh well. I'm pretty sure we walked 100 miles by the time the day was over.

Party Time

Celebrating both Birthdays together with family. They are so spoiled they came out like bandits:)

We took these cute boys to FunTime Inflatables for Jaxons birthday party and boy did they have a blast. I should've planned for 4 hours instead of 2 but they had a great time.

Time needs to Slow Down...Dylan's 12

Sorry I don't know why all my scanned pics go white aroud the edge.

How did this happen? Dylan turned 12 on March 3rd. First of all I can't believe that I have a twelve year old and Second where has the time gone? He really is such a great kid. The bishop called Dylan up on Sunday to sustain him a deacon and told the congregation what a good kid he is and he blushed and grinned from ear to ear...it was priceless. And who can resist those dimples...not me. I'm truly afraid for the future, I'm going to be beating the girls away with a stick. What I love about Dylan is... he is so much like me in the good ways and the bad ( and sometimes don't love), I totally get him and can always know how he is feeling, he is a straight A student with out me nagging, he's so handsome, such a good brother, so kind, acts like the ultimate 12 yr old boy aka obnoxious, is more into his friends than girls for the moment, his biggest concern in life is sports, hanging out with his friends and getting a cell phone, how grown up he thinks he is, the fact I've gotten the chance to grow up with him and we've made it this far, he's very forgiving, he makes me laugh, his favorite saying...so Burn, the fact that there can be 10 inches of snow on the ground and he still wears shorts to school, the way he thinks basketball shorts go with everything, he's a leader, he makes good choices, and last but not least he's mine (of Course). We love you Dylan Happy Birthday:)
