Over Karstens and Tylers birthday we went on our annual camping trip with Tylers family to Mammoth Creek. We had a blast. We ate great food, visited, played games, rode lots of fourwheelers, and got rained on everyday. On the last night of camping my family came up for dinner and cake and ice cream. Karsten turned 10, Tyler turned 31, and we celebrated my brothers girlfriend Beths birthday too. My boys love to camp, we really need to go more often. I've never been to Mammoth before but it was beautiful and if we ever get the chance to buy or build a cabin I would do it there.

Dylan's Eagle Project

Dylans Eagle project has been taking up a lot of the focus at our house this summer. He has earned all the required badges, service, and camping hours, and has now completed his project. yay! For the project him and a couple of his friends in our ward were doing buckle up metal and painted signs in the parking lots at every school in our district. Wow its been quite the undertaking. It is finally done with more than 20 hours spent and 15+ peoples help. Now for the hard part, he has to fill out a 20 page form and its like pulling teeth to get him to do it. I am proud of him though, most boys don't earn this until they are about 16 or 17. He just turned 13, a lot of thanks goes out to the awesome scout leaders in our ward...love them. Great job Dylan

Independence Day

For the 4th of July this year we were pretty low key. We went to the parade, which I swear I took pictures at and cant find them for the life of me. We had a BBQ at my house with my siblings and some friends in my backyard. Then we headed to the Fire Station for the fireworks/family night. We usually go to the North Station for our own little party with the firefighters and their families that respond to that station but this year they combined the entire department for a family night, I'm not gonna lie I like the old way better. My kids still had fun though playing Frisbee and throwing poppers. It was so dry this year when they lit the fireworks the entire field underneath was on fire from the sparks and ash falling. It was hard to concentrate on the show when all I could watch was the field burning, but they got it out and it was a pretty quiet night for the Dept. Happy 4th everyone!

Zions

 A couple weekends ago we took our kids to Zions to go hiking for the day. It's really sad we live so close but hardly ever make it down there. It was super hot and super busy but really beautiful. We drove through the tunnels then hiked the lower Emerald Pools which were closed, then got ambitious and hiked the upper ones. My kids were pretty good sports about not complaining, Jaxon did ride on Tylers shoulders for awhile which I dont know how he did that, Jaxons a big boy! It was so pretty and calm when we finally reached the pools, my kids were loud and obnoxious while everyone else was enjoying the quiet and peace they were trying to climb on rocks and dipping their heads in the pools. Oh well I guess thats what you get when you have three boys. The best part was getting ice cream in Spring Dale on the way home.

Fathers Day

Summer Games

Karsten competed in the Summer Games for the first time this year with his soccer team Forza South. They didnt win any medals but played way better than they did in their regular season. The best part was the opening ceremonies, I thought it was the best one I've ever been to. My kids especially loved Nitro Circus, they were stunt devils on dirt and pedal bikes, and the fireworks were great too!

Youth Conference 2012

This year for youth conference me and Tyler were called as a couple from our ward to the stake youth conference committee. We were in charge of the hike. We went over to Ephraim and stayed in the dorms on campus. For the hike we hiked to the geological center of Utah where an eagle scout made a monument and we could see the Manti temple in the distance. The theme for youth conference was get ready get set go. Meaning go to the temple, we geared our hike on centering our lives on the temple and I had my talented dad sketch the manti temple on this banner all the youth signed and  pledged to return to virtue. We had a great time, great food, and so much fun with the kids:)

Lake Date

Every week since schools got out we've been to the lake with my sister and Jade. We always have a good time and my kids love the water and sand and cliff jumping. I'm so glad we live so close we  just cruise down for the day, and it's cheaper than taking them to the local Aquatic Center...weird!

Machine Pitch

Wow! June flew by without me posting anything. So now its catch up time. Jaxon was my only baseball player this year. Which made me really sad, I love baseball but the other two boys found other sports they like more that interfere with the baseball season. Jaxon absolutely loved machine pitch. I was so glad when they lowered the age to 6 so he could play. He would have been so bored with coach pitch. He will have to play 2 years of this before he can enter little league though. He had a great time and had a lot of his friends on his team which was fun! He even made some good plays. He is quite a good little player and improved so much over the season. So until next years season!
